Everything had to be just perfect for Noah and Julia's fairy-tale wedding on All My Children. So when it came time for the cake, ABC called Charmaine Jones of New jersey's Isn't That Special Outrageous Cakes. Since the storyline had everyone pitching in to throw the wedding, Jones had to teach the actresses how to decorate the cake, so that they could do it on the camera. "it was sort of like being in a girl-scout camp, doing crafts and hobbies," says Jill Larson (Opal). "Even with an expert on hand, there were some slight mishaps. One four-inch cake ended up with eight eight inches of icing on it by the time all of the retakes were done." Luckily, Jones made three identical cakes for that very reason.
